Men’s Shed is aimed at men who retire and lose contact with friends and colleagues. It is not the case for all men, but for some, when retirement comes it can feel like personal identity and purpose is lost. Men’s Sheds can change that…

The aim is for participants to utilise their existing skills and experience or to learn new practical skills, and to enjoy making or fixing things while drinking tea and joining in friendly banter…
What Men’s Sheds do over time, when they become established, they extend the age range so that some of the older generation can teach skills to the younger generation…
The TCR Hub is ideally suited for what the Shed wants. It uses the old workshop which is somewhere we can set up woodworking tools and create a little bit of dust which can be easily cleaned up.
Funding will be through a small annual membership fee to help cover costs and we will be looking for sponsorship and applying for grants to cover any additional costs.”
